Get outta my way! I'm driving a new MINI Cooper! As of Friday, I now own a Chili Red MINI Cooper. Yes, it's awesome. Yes, it's fun. It's also my first new car in almost 7 years. If you haven't been paying attention, cars have changed a lot in the last 7 years.

Things new to me but probably not new to anyone who's bought a car in the last decade:

• Power locks
• Power windows
• Automatic transmission
• the weight sensor to turn off the passenger's airbag
• Auto-dimming rear-view mirror
• Lights and Windshield wipers that turn themselves on
• heated seats
• radios that tell you what song is playing (on the radio!!)
• cd player that plays MP3s
• run-flat tires

There's a bunch more... I feel like I bought a spaceship. When I realize everyone else has had many of these features for years, I feel like an alien.
