This Year's Goal: Learn to play piano

I just took my first step in meeting a goal I've had for many years: I signed up for my first piano lesson. Tomorrow at 6:30pm, with a guy named Adam, I'll take my first lesson. I hope it'll be more than the number of keys on the keyboard, but I'm willing to be patient. 

My goals are simple: learn to read music properly, and be able to play christmas carols. I don't think I can learn to read music on my main instrument, the guitar, because I'm too familiar with it. The sounds come without a need for names of notes, chords, etc. The piano is a different animal, and I'm looking forward to a new way of discovering music and sound.
